Iroquois GOP Women host Gubernatorial candidates

Jobs and choosing a leader who can lead. Three of the four Republicans for Illinois Governor next year had similar messages in Watseka Thursday. They made their pitch at the Iroquois County Republican Women's Club Fall Luncheon.

Chicago-area businessman Bruce Rauner and State Senators Kirk Dillard and Bill Brady said the GOP nominee needs to target what the party is all about and restore a business-friendly atmosphere to Illinois.

Rauner says he's the guy because he's not a politician; he has no ties to the problems the state's in right now.

State Treasurer Dan Rutherford was not in attendance. His running-mate for Lt. Governor, Steve Kim, also addressed the audience. Kim was the first Asian-American in Illinois history to have won the nomination of a major political party for a statewide office.
