Health Department Schedules Flu Clinics in Iroquois County

Iroquois County -The Iroquois County Public Health Department (ICPHD) has released the 2017 flu clinic schedule. Walk-in clinics are also added this year at the health department Monday thru Friday 9 am ‘til Noon and 1 – 4 pm throughout the flu season.

“We are excited about getting started with our flu clinics,” said Dee Ann Schippert, Public Health Administrator. Schippert said clinics have been scheduled throughout Iroquois County in order to provide easy access for all residents.

The CDC and the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) are strongly advising vaccinations for everyone 6 months of age or older. Health officials say they’re looking forward to providing flu vaccines for adults at the public clinics. Children may also receive the flu vaccine by scheduling an appointment at the office. {Contact the Health Dept for times/locations of the clinics).

As in the past, it is requested that those attending a clinic wear clothing that provides easy access to the vaccination site. The cost is $35 per dose. If you have coverage for the flu vaccine through Medicare or one of the following listed insurance companies, the Iroquois County Public Health Department can bill them directly.
