THE FIRST TRUST AND SAVINGS BANK IN WATSEKA & CLIFTON PLAYER OF THE WEEK (ENDING 12/6/14) IS SENIOR GUARD ELENA SANCHEZ OF THE IROQUOIS WEST LADY RAIDERS.

ELENA IS A BIG REASON HER RAIDERS GOT TO THE CLASS 1A ELITE 8 IN 2013, AND SWEET 16 LAST YEAR. SHE AND HER CLUB ARE OFF TO ANOTHER HOT START, WINNING 6 OF THEIR FIRST 7 SO FAR. ON NOV. 25, SHE SCORED 19, INCLUDING 5 TREYS IN A WIN OVER ARMSTRONG POTOMAC. ON DEC. 1, SHE SCORED 22 INCLUDING 4 TREYS IN A WIN OVER CHAMPAIGN CENTENNIAL. FINALLY ON DEC. 4, SHE SCORED ANOTHER 12 IN A WIN OVER MOMENCE.
