36th Annual Rhubarb Festival

The Kankakee County Museum will be hosting their 36th Annual Rhubarb Festival on Sunday, May 17th. This beloved fundraising event starts at 10 a.m. and goes until 4 p.m. 2026 festivities include: a wide variety of vendors and food trucks, a kids’ zone, live entertainment, tours of the Taylor One-Room Schoolhouse and historic Dr. Small home, the debut of the Annual Kankakee Art League Show, and so much more! Rhubarb and strawberry- rhubarb whole pies and slices (provided by the Bennett-Curtis House) will be available for purchase as part of the museum’s fundraising efforts along with a variety of jams provided by Turtle Acres. Pies and jams can also be pre-ordered online through Kankakee County Museum’s website now through May 15th.

Proceeds from this event directly assist the Kankakee County Historical Society in their preservation efforts.

*Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for comfort.
