An 18-year-old 4-Her from the Danforth club earned the Master Showman award (Friday) at the Iroquois County Fair. Celeste Cummings captured the top honor among eight 4-H candidates showing the respective projects in the competition. Celeste was tops in the Goats Division and then showed the judges her skill in presenting the other animals.
Miss Cummings is an 18-year-old from the Danforth Blue Ribbon 4-H Club. She's a nine-year veteran in 4-H, graduating this year from Iroquois West High School. Her parents are Will & Jill Cummings.
Dayten Eisenmann (Beef Division) of the Fountain Creek Producers and Gracie Schleef (Dairy Division) of the Woodworth Kountry Klovers tied for 2nd Place in the Master Showman competition.
Other contestants included: Lily Anderson of the Danforth Blue Ribbon Club in the Swine Division, Stephanie Sterrenberg (Horse) of the Milford Suger Creek 4-H Club, Alivia Porter (Sheep) from the Ashkum Go-Getters, Hunter Hull (Poultry) representing the Danforth Blue Ribbon Club, and Owen Pree (Rabbits) of the Country Kickers 4-H Club.
