GriefShare 13-week cycle begins Monday August 28
A thirteen week cycle of GriefShare will be held on Mondays beginning at 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The first meeting is on Monday August 28 and the final one on Monday November 20. The program is designed help people heal after the death of a loved one. Each session includes Christ-centered video instruction, group discussion (no one is required to speak - just listening is okay.), and a personal workbook study. The program is at no cost. It is sponsored by St. John Lutheran Congregation in rural Milford and is being held at Kingdon's Gardens in the lower level. You may register at griefshare.org > find a group.
Each session is helpful by itself so you may skip a week if necessary. You may start at any week during the cycle.

Kankakee Quiltmakers Autumn Splendor Quilt Show
Kankakee Quiltmakers Autumn Splendor Quilt Show dates and times are Friday, Sep 29, 2023 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday, Sep 30, 2023 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at Kankakee First Church of the Nazarene (1000 N Entrance Ave, Kankakee, IL). Admission is $8.00 each (children under 12 are free). Over 200 quilts and other items will be displayed. Vendors will be available as well as raffle baskets, a Quiltmakers Boutique, and food for purchase. Tickets will be available to purchase for a chance to win this year's raffle quilt. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Everyone is welcome to attend as we will showcase the skill and talents of our membership.

Family Yoga in the Park 10AM
Celebrate the new StoryWalk book, "Yoga Bunny" by Brian Russo with Family Yoga in Lakeview Park. Carrie Williamson Girard. Suitable for everyone ages 3 and up. If you have a mat feel free to bring your own, there will be a limited number of mats available for use. The class will be canceled if it rains.
Papineau Fire Pancake Breakfast
Sunday October 1 from 7-noon serving pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy. Semi annual pancake breakfast fundraiser, adults $8, children 6-13 $6, 5 and under eat free.

The Melchior Marionettes have bene performing since 1952 throughout the USA Midwest, Canada, Mexico and Europe. Join the Purdue Extension for a fun family show! Doors open at 6:15p. Enjoy hands on activities and a free book for each child.
A Matter of Balance
Do you have concerns about falling? Join the Purdue Extension for a free workshop designed to manage falls & increase activity levels. You will learn to view falls as controllable, set goals for increasing activity, make changes to reduce fall risks at home and exercise to increase strength & balance.
