Authorites in Hoopeston report illegally-stored fireworks caused an abandoned canning factory to go up in flames.  The old Joan of Arc canning plant was destroyed Sunday evening.  Fire Chief Joel Bird said the facility along Thompson Street erupted in flames about 10:30 pm.  The chief said the dry conditions didn'[t help.  Some advise people to stay away from the building which is still quite dangerous.  No one was injured.  A dozen fire departments from Vermilion and Iroquois County assisted.
