A car crash in Iroquois County Friday resulted in the arrest of a 39-year-old Ashkum man. Christopher Mancuso left the scene of the crash and then filed a report saying his vehicle had been stolen. Sheriff's Police investigated the crash at 700 E at the Route 116 intersection. Mancuso's southbound vehicle ran thru a stop-intersection, hit a ditch embankment and overturned.
Police said Mancuso left the scene and reported his vehicle stolen. He was later arrested and charged with Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident, Disorderly Conduct in filing a False Police Report, Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident, and Disobeying a Stop Sign.
