State Climatologist Trent Ford says April has been quite cool and wet, well beyond normal. All the final numbers aren;t in yet, but there's little doubt it's been real chilly. As for rainfall, northern and southern parts of the state received about an inch above normal. Central Illinois has had precipitation about average.
A wet weekend is in store. The forecast calls for showers and T-storms Friday night into Saturday.
