Felony charges are on file against an Indiana man accused of a shooting last week in Rensselaer. 19-year-old Levi Pacific is facing an attempted murder rap. His arrest came after police investigated a reported shooting at a local home. Pacific tells police he was acting in self defense after he learned a friend had stolen money from him.
The Jasper County Sheriff’s Tactical Team served two search warrants that led to the arrest of Pacific. Charges include Attempted Murder, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and criminal recklessness. The victim’s injuries were not life-threatening. The investigation continues.
