A 39-year-old Saunemin man is under arrest, accused of robbing the Dollar General Store in Saunemin Sunday night. Derek Dunn’s arrest Monday afternoon now finds him answering to a charge of Aggravated Robbery. He was jailed in Livingston County.

The State’s Attorney’s Office states Dunn entered the Dollar General on Route 116 in Saunemin about 9:20 pm (Sunday). He demanded money and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

No injuries were reported. An investigation by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the Darien Police Department and Illinois State Police led to the arrest.
