Destiny Thornsborough is a new addition to the Paxton Police department. The 23-year-old is the first female officer in Paxton in some 12 years. She previously worked for the Danville Police Department. Thornsborough was one of 55 applicants for the Paxton position. She's been on the job full-time since December 6.
The Kankakee Police Department is introducing its three newest officers. Michael Foote, Caitlin Krull and Natisha Brantley are all recent graduates of the Policed Training Institute. Police Chief Robin Passwater welcomed the officers, who will all begin a 3-month Field Training Program for additional on-the-job training.
Deputy Sheriff Joe Mosley was sworn-in as a new officer with the Newton County, IN Sheriff's Department. Deputy Mosely was worn-in by Judge Daniel Molter. He'll be involved in field-training as part of Sheriff Tom VanVleet's force. Mosley previously served with the Lake County Reserves and the Morocco Police Department Reserves.
