Hoopeston Mayor Dies

Hoopeston's 4-term mauor has died. Bill Crusinberry was 72 years old.  He died at home Friday evening.  He had been re-elected to a fourth term earlier this year but just announced two weeks ago he'd be stepping aside for health reasons.  Crusinberry was diagnosed with cancer in February.  He was a veteran of local politics, serving 16 years in Hoopeston government.  He served as alderman and then Mayor.

Visitation is scheduled Thursday 4 - 6 pm at the First Church of God in Hoopeston. A Memorial Service will follow.
