Hoopeston's 4-term mauor has died. Bill Crusinberry was 72 years old. He died at home Friday evening. He had been re-elected to a fourth term earlier this year but just announced two weeks ago he'd be stepping aside for health reasons. Crusinberry was diagnosed with cancer in February. He was a veteran of local politics, serving 16 years in Hoopeston government. He served as alderman and then Mayor.
Visitation is scheduled Thursday 4 - 6 pm at the First Church of God in Hoopeston. A Memorial Service will follow.
