Fire officials in Kankakee are investigating a house fire that did approximately $80,000 in damage.  No injury was reported from the Saturday night call about 8 pm.  It was a vacant house in the 1400-hundred block of River Street.  Fire Chief Bryan LaRoche said the cause was under investigation.  Several area departments answered the call.
