Snow accumulations of two to five inches is forecast with the pending winter storm Thursday thru Saturday.  The NWS reports extreme cold temps and windy conditions are expected.  That'll lead to blowing and drifting and visibility issues in several areas.  Blizzard conditions are likely in open areas.  Conditions could become life-threatening for anyone becoming stranded.  Safety kits are a must for those traveling.  Utilty crews are preparing for power outages.
