Illinois State Police (ISP) confirm two drivers were killed in a 4-vehicle crash (Monday) along Route 45 in Iroquolis County.  Coroner Bill Cheatum identified the victims as 44-year-old Krista Woltz-Hernandez of Buckley and 65-year-old Julie McGowan of Rantoul.  State Police report Ford County authorities were following an SUV driven by Hernandez when the driver lost control.  The SUV hit a Jeep head-on before crashing into a third vehicle.  The Jeep's driver, Julie McGowan, was killed.  Hernandez' SUV then veered off the road and rolled several times. Hernandez also died at the scene.  A third person was injured and taken to an area hospital.

The crash happened a little after 5 pm near County Road 1190 N at Del Rey.
