Area county clerks welcome inquiries about voter registration. The March 18th Illinois Primary Election isn't all that far away.
Time is running out to register for vote in the primary election. Depending on what county you're in, the ballot issues vary.
The last day to register is Feb. 18. Grace period registration and voting may be done between Feb. 18 and March 15. Early voting will be between March 3 and March 15.
Absentee voting can be made in person or by mail. Applications may be filed between Feb. 6 and March 13, with in-person requests due by March 17.
Other rules apply to military and overseas residents.
On the ballot in February will be choices for U.S. senator; governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, secretary of state, comptroller, treasurer; congressional contests, state central committeemen in the same districts; several state senator races, state representatives in districts 1-118; regional school superintendents; appellate judges, referendums; and precinct committeemen.
