A collision snowy on U S 52 south of Manhattan Saturday afternoon claimed the lives of two young Joliet women. The 20-year-old driver and a 16-year-old passenger were killed. A 19-year-old passenger was critically injured.
State police reported the car the victims were in slid out of control on an "S-curve." The car slid into a northbound pickup truck.
The pickup driver, Mark Trost, and his wife Kris, were not hurt. The driver of the Dodge was identified as 20 year old Keyshanna Lucas, who was later pronounced dead at Silver Cross Hospital. The 16 year old girl, one of the passengers, was Sarquece Baker. Baker was pronounced dead at the scene.
