Clean-up crews are on the scene of a semi fire along I-65 in White County, Indiana. The driver of truck escaped unharmed after his rig went up in flames near the Wolcott exit this (Friday) morning.
Indiana State troopers said the semi driver was northbound when suddenly he noticed flames coming out the back of the semi. The driver was able to pull over and escape without any injuries. The rest of the semi caught fire.
Police report there was about 30,000 pounds of chicken in the semi. Cleanup crews will be on the road for three to four hours.
The Wolcott Volunteer Fire Department worked to extinguish the flames.
