Governor JB Pritzker has introduced a new plan to reopen Illinois following the COVID-19 closure. He says a bridge phase is the next step before going back to normalcy. Under the bridge phase, health clubs, offices, salons, museums, and stores can operate at 60-percent capacity. Gatherings of 250 people indoors and 500 people outdoors will be allowed.
Everyone in Illinois will be eligible to get the COVID -19 vaccine starting April 12th. Governor Pritzker says as more doses come in, more locations will be set up. The governor added that he is working with local health departments to expand the use of special days set aside to vaccinate seniors and people with existing health conditions.
