The Dwight Fire Department reports one person was injured and six others displaced after an apartment complex fire Wednesday evening. The fire was contained to the one unit where it originated. Fire and smoke was seen coming from the rear of the building, just after 6 pm.
There was smoke and water damage to the neighboring units, according to fire officials. One occupant was treated for non-life threatening injuries at Morris Community Hospital. No firefighters were injured. The Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents. The cause was under investigation.
