A former Grant Park police officer has been fired from the department. Police Lt. Stephen Nardi of Steger faces charges of criminal sexual assault. He was in Will County circuit court Wednesday where bond was set at $250,000.

The Will County State's Attorney's Office has not released all the details about the case. State police investigators revealed the alleged victim is a family member.

The 45-year-old Nardi was on unpaid administrative leave prior to his arrest Tuesday. He was ordered to surrender all his weapons.
