The Department of Veterans Affairs announced the appointment of Russell E Lloyd as the Acting Director of the VA Illiana Health Care System (VAIHCS) in Danville. Lloyd will oversee delivery of health care to more than 33,000 Veterans with an operating budget of $175 million.

Lloyd comes to Danville after serving as the Associate Medical Center Director, Central Texas Veterans Health Care System, Temple, Texas.

VAIHCS provides care to Veterans in Central Illinois and West Central Indiana. The medical center is located in Danville, along with five community based outpatient clinics in Decatur, Mattoon, Peoria and Springfield, Illinois and West Lafayette, Indiana.

Russell Lloyd began his new duties in Danville today.
