PONTIAC —Ford County judge Stephen Pacey has delayed the murder trial for a former Cullom woman accused in the death of a 4-year-old girl.
Heather Lamie's trial date is now January 6th, moved from October 21st. The judge's ruling came after Lamie's attorney said there were complications regarding a computer seized at the woman's home.
The attorney also is trying to secure a forensic pathologist to testify in the case.
The 30-year-old now-Kankakee County woman was arrested in June for the 2011 death. Kianna Rudisill died at a Peoria hospital. Her death was later ruled a homicide. She had blunt force trauma and brain injuries.
The girl was a foster child in Lamie's Cullom home.
