--- Cases mount in Iroquois, Newton, Jasper counties ---

Fourteen plus positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Iroquois County over the last week. The county health department added five more cases Thursday and there were five others on Wednesday. There were 34 confirmed cases as of late Thursday; the good news 12 have recovered.

Nearly 100 individuals have recovered among the 383 cases reported in Kankakee County.

Testing was available today (Friday) at the Community Center in Sun River Terrace, via Riverside Medical Center. And testing is available by appointment thru Aunty Martha’S Health & Wellness Centers, both in Kankakee and Danville.

The IDPH says more testing sites are opening across the state.
