Weekend events in Kankakee County include the annual Pumpkin Festival at St. Anne and the Manteno Oktoberfest.

Manteno's four-day event runs today (Thurs) through the weekend.

St. Anne's Pumpkin Festival Friday through Sunday included a "live" broadcast Saturday on 94.1 WGFA. The radio fun starts at 8 am. It's the 25th anniversary of the pumpkin festival. A grand parade steps off at 2:20 Saturday afternoon. There's several forms of entertainment.

The Manteno Chamber of Commerce's 16th annual Oktoberfest Celebration offers a wide range of entertainment. It begins tonight (Thurs).

Bike Night on the village's main street is tonight. The event coordinator Staci Wilken says a lot of volunteers are making it happen.

A pet parade, a showcase of bands, volleyball,car show, and carnival are all included.

Former Bears quarterback Bobby Douglas is scheduled for an appearance Sunday at 1 p.m.
