Testing for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) is now available at Aunt Martha's Health & Wellness Center in Kankakee.  The drive-thru testing site begins today and will be offered --BY APPOINTMENT ONLY -- Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 am 'til 2:30 pm.  To make an appointment, call 877-692-8686.  Those tested must meet requirements.

Kankakee Mayor Chasity Wells-Armstrong said the city is pleased to work with officials to provide support for testing in the community.  Governor JB Pritzker requested Federal Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) to assist the state in the battle against COVID-19 by identifying sites in minority communities.  The goal of Aunt Martha's is to provide tets to 500 patients per week at six of their locations in the state.

Drive-thru testing is at the Aunt Martha's facility at 1777 E. Court Street.
