The death of a 46-year-old Pontiac, IL man at U.S. Steel Gary Works in Gary, Indiana is being investigated by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration. Frank Freer was a 10-year employee of KM Plant Services. He was a hydroblaster, working on contract at the Gary plant. He died after falling April 8. A company spokeswoman said he was conducting routine cleaning when he fell. He was pronounced dead at a northwest Indiana hospital.
