Volunteers have stepped up again, to display American flags along U.S. Route 24 in Watseka for the Memorial Day Weekend. Some 4.000 flags line the route throughout the city. They'll be on display during the weekend. Alderwoman Monna Ulfers directs the effort, started three years ago to help patriotism and Watseka proud. Several groups pla part in lining the route with the U.S. flags including the Watseka High School soccer team, members ofthe National Honor Society, Boy Scouts, and members of the Watseka Family Festival Committee. Others assisting are city employees, Watseka Fire and Police Departments, and Watseka Public Works Department.
