An attempted bank robbery charge has been filed against 36-year-old Daniel White of Watseka.  He was arrested Thursday night by Watseka Police after a two-day investigation.  White is also charged with criminal damage to property and was wanted on a warrant for kidnapping out of Lake County, IN. 

Polcie reported being called to the First Trust & Savings Bank on E. Walnut Street (Wednesday) concerning damagedone to an ATM machine.  An attempt was made to take money from the machine. Video surveillance of the suspect led police to White who later confessed to the crime.  He also admitted entering another business on E. Oak Street.  Watseka Polcie were assisted by the FBI and the Iroquois County State's Attorney's Office.
