A central Illinois village is planning to hold a fireworks display for Independence Day despite the ongoing concerns about the spread of COVID-19. Sherman Village President Trevor Clatfelter said he plans a fireworks display on July 4th and encourages other communities that have canceled events to reconsider as more data shows the state’s COVID-19 case rates decline.
