Emergency responders answered a call to a farming accident Tuesday evening. A Gilman-area famer died of injuries suffered in a combining accident.

Official details are yet to be released by officials, so the victim's name is not being released.

The man was operating a combine with his son along U-S Route 24. An attempt to un-clog the combine led to the accident when the machine kicked-back into its operation mode. Gilman Fire and ambulance personnel were on the scene.

The victim was air-lifted from Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka to Champaign County where he died.
