Police in Indiana used stop-sticks to bring a fleeing pickup to a stop Wednesday. A DeMotte man was arrested.
27-year-old Jason Van Buren faces charges. He was stopped on State Road 10 but then fled form the officer. Police report it was a routine traffic stop, but Van Buren ran thru a residential sub-division before the stop-sticks flattened his tires on a county road. He still tried running on the truck's rims before the vehicle was stopped on State Road 231. Police had to taze the driver before the arrest was made.
