Illinois Public Health officials announced Thursday the state had recorded 125 new cases of coronavirus, the highest daily death count since the pandemic began.  There's now 1,072 deaths from the virus.  The count covers 90 Illinois counties.

Iroquois County has 12 confirmed cases, the latest is a female in her 20's.  Five of the dozen cases have recovered.

Kankakee County has 265 confirmed cases.  Twenty-one new cases are reported Thursday with 13 total deaths.
