Central parts of Illinois get 5+ inches snow

Parts of central-Illinois experienced more than 5-inches of snow overnight. A late-season storm moved through the state. The NWS had a winter weather advisory in place until 10 am (Friday) and until early afternoon for others.
As temperatures warmed up, the precipitation was mostly rain.

Knox, Stark and McDonough counties were especially hard-hit by the snow, with 5.5 inches recorded in Galesburg. Roanoke and Minonk in Woodford County each reported 2 inches. Reports of 3-4 inches were recorded northwest of Peoria. In McLean County, Chenoa received 1.4 inches.
