A Benton County, Indiana woman died after a house fire Tuesday afternoon.

The victim’s identity is being withheld at this time.

The emergency call came just before 1 o’clock. The location was on State Road 71, south of Kentland.

Earl Park firemen answered the call. The state fire marshal's office is investigating.

Investigators believe it began in the area of the garage but the cause is unknown.
