Three juveniles face prosecution in Indiana after leading police on a chase from Indiana into Illinois Tuesday. The chase ended with the vehicle crashing in a ditch near Stockland, in Iroquois County.
The juveniles were treated at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka. There were no serious injuries.
Benton County, Indiana Sheriff Butch Pritchart told WGFA News one of his deputies responded to a call about an erratic driver. When an attempt was made to stop the SUV, the driver led police on a 110 mph chase, the vehicle running through several yards and down a gravel road before crashing in a ditch at Stockland.
Sheriff Pritchart said it wasn’t until after the incident that police learned the Dodge Durango had been stolen from Frankfort, IN.
The case has been turned over to the Benton County Prosecutor’s office.
