A 35-year-old Tazewill County man faces charges in Livingston County for sex-related offenses. Jack Arnold was arrested at a Fairbury gas station for Traveling to Meet a Minor and for Soliciation of a Child. 

Arnold was arrested by the Fairbury Police Department Sunday, June 11th. Investigators say Arnold allegedly was chatting with an underage female for sex related purposes on  social media messaging app since the day he was arrested. Arnold is accused of traveling from Pekin to Fairbury to meet the female, who is under the age of 15 and being portrayed by a law enforcement officer. Arnold remains in the Livingston County Jail on a $100,000 bond. The Fairbury Police Department said Arnold has no connections to the Fairbury area and was previously convicted of sexual crimes.
