Watseka Police K-9, Tucker, helped city officers track a suicidal subject Wednesday evening.  Officers were called to a S. 2nd Street location for a suicidal subject.  That person had left the scene headed northbound.  K-9 Tucker was deployed and tracked down ther peron in a parking lot along W. Walnut Street.  The suicidal subject is in custody undergoing evaluation at Riverside Medical Center.

Meanwhile--- in Gary, IN a K-9 officer was shot and killed.  The 10-year-old dog -- Falco -- was shot by a suspect police pursued on foot after an attempted traffic stop.  A suspect was wanted for aggravated battery and criminal recklessness.  The subject fled and the K-9 was shot by the suspect in abackyard. The officer involved wasn't hurt and the suspected shooter was taken into custody.
