A weekend fire at the Self-Storage rental facilties in Watseka is under investigation.  A person driving past the facility along Brianna Drive (Saturday) told authorities smoke was seen coming from one end of the building.  Fire Chief Ken Baier said department personnel saw smoke but no flames. Minor smoke and water damage was reported. Other units were checked and the rental operations continued.

The small fire is beleived to have started on a sill plate, travled into the storage unit along the wood frame that the door-track is attached. 

Watseka Fire and Crescent City Fire answered the call.
