A hot, steamy week is ahead in Illinois.  Much of the state will deal with temps in the 90s and a heat index readings in the triple digits. Excessive heat warnings/advisories have been issued. The forecast not calling for any precip until the weekend. 

Citizens are urged to avoid long stays in the heat, do some of those outdoor activities when it's cooler at night or early morning.  Community leaders are encouraged to open up cooling centers for those in need.
