Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. Portions of central Illinois and east central Illinois, including areas, in central Illinois, Livingston. In east central Illinois, Ford and Iroquois. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Slow moving or standing water may occur in flat areas.
Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen today (Monday). This rainfall is occurring over the same locations that experienced 3 to 6 plus inches of rain on Saturday. The Villafge of Cissna Park reported 11 inches Saturday, water flowing thru businesses and residential neighborhoods.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
Some locations that will experience flooding include... Pontiac, Fairbury, Gilman, Milford, Chatsworth, Onarga, Forrest, Cissna Park, Piper City, Buckley, Cullom, Saunemin, Crescent City, Danforth, Roberts, Woodland, Wellington, Thawville and Claytonville.
