The NWS expects the Peak afternoon heat index values up to 105 to 107.  The extreme heat is in play for the immediate area and then some.  In Illinois, La Salle, Grundy, Kankakee, Livingston, Iroquois, Ford and Southern Will Counties. In Indiana, Newton, Jasper and Benton Counties.  Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses to occur.
