Human remains found buried 40 years ago in Indiana are being identified as a Chicago teenager who was a victim of serial killer Larry Eyler. The remains belong to Keith Lavell Bibbs, who was 16 years old when he died. The teen's remains were found in 1983 at an abandoned farm in Newton County, Indiana near the remains of three young men Eyler also killed. Eyler confessed to at least 20 killings before dying at an Illinois prison in 1994. The Newton County Coroner's Office worked with the DNA Doe Project, Indiana State Police and the Identify Indiana Initiative to identify Bibbs.
