PONTIAC – Pontiac Police Chief Dale Newsome is retiring.  He’s accepted a new post at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais.

Newsome begins his new job July 1.  He’s served Pontiac for 28 years..

Newsome will step down at the end of the month and will start a new career as the director of public safety for Olivet Nazarene University.
