Wind Advisory issued Tuesday afternoon until  Wednesday (April 5) at 4 pm ...

The NWS issues the advisory -- Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 to 50 mph expected.  Portions of central, east central, north central and northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana are affected.  Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Travel will be hazardous for high profile vehicles.

Along with the strong non-thunderstorm winds, strong to severe thunderstorms may produce wind gusts of 50 to 60 mph or greater Wednesday morning through early afternoon.
