The push to keep kids safe continues in Livingston County. And the group, C.H.A.O.S., made four more recent arrests of individuals seeking sexual acts with minors. The recent arrestrs included two from Fairbury.
The CHAOS Task Force announced the apprehension of the four arrested. The “Protect Our Children Operation” was conducted September 29th with the mission to arrest individuals who were seeking out children online for sexual purposes. Police officials say the children were between the ages of 11 and 14.
49-year-old Jeremy Myers of Streator, 24-year-old Brandin Atterberry of Springfield and 44-year-old Richard Tull of Fairbury all faces charges in Livingston County -- Indecent Solicitation of a Child and Traveling to Meet a Minor. 22-year-old Colton Myers of Congerville was charged with Indecent Solicitation of a Child, Indecent Solicitation of a Child, and Grooming. The charges are felony offenses.
Fairbury Police report Colton Myers was a substitute teacher in the Mason County, Woodford County and Tazewell County area.
The Fairbury Police Department, Chatsworth Police, Woodford County Sheriff’s Office and El Paso Police Department along with other agencies assisted in this operation. The CHAOS Task Force was started up by the Fairbury Police Department in Livingston County this past summer.
