The Iroquois County Board (Tuesday) praised the efforts of Robert Yergler who recently retired as the County Chief Assessor. Board Chairman John S hure presented Yergler with a plaque, pointing out his 17 + year career. ergler joined the conty family in May of 2006. He was re-appointed for 4-year terms through his retirement August 1, 2023.
Yergler acknowledged the earlier problems in the office and with regular upgrades the assessmenbt process has been modernized.
Yergler's successor, Mia McCammon, recently passed her certification examination . The County Board approved her 4-year appointment with a $2500 hundred dollar bump in salary. McCammon thanked the County Board for its vote of confidence.
