Manteno hosting “Thrill of the Putt” Golf

The Manteno Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its first ever “Thrill of the Putt” putt-putt golf tournament tomorrow ( Saturday, April 27) from 12 – 7 pm. Participants will begin at the Leo Hassett Community Center, travel to twelve holes at different local businesses, before ending at Stampede Saloon for the ”19th hole” after-party.

Teams will each consist of four participants at $20 per participant, or $80 per team; all team members must be over 21 years old to participate. Registration can be found on the Chamber website at mantenochamber.com under Events.

Participants are encouraged to bring donations for The Prince Home for Homeless Veterans; a complete list of acceptable donations can be found on the Facebook event “The Thrill of the Putt” on the Manteno Chamber of Commerce’s Facebook page. In addition to accepting donations, 10% of all proceeds raised through registration will be donated to The Prince Home.

Following completion of the tournament, participants are encouraged to meet up at Stampede Saloon for karaoke, raffles, prizes, food, and fun; prizes for the best costume, the best team name, the best golf score, and the best business hole design will be awarded.
