The Bradley Village Board has set a special meeting for 5 pm today. The meeting comes after Mayor Bruce Adams suddenly resigned Friday.
Adams announced his resignation in a brief statement released Friday afternoon, citing health concerns. Re-elected to a third term as village president in 2017, Adams had spent 10 years in the role and had two years remaining on his current term.
Adams’ replacement will be elected on an interim basis by a vote of the six-member board of trustees. That decision could be made at today's meeting.
